Homemade Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce / Dressing

¼ cup mayo

¼ cup spicy brown mustard

2 tbls honey (substitute for maple syrup, if desired)

Whisk together mayonnaise and mustard. Add maple syrup. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

  1. Hi Cynthia. thank you for this recipe. I am usually trying to find ways of making dips and dressings for my salads and most times, you could say, I throw together several ingredients in whatever portions I feel at the time. Sometimes my dip is too sweet, or too sour or to hot (when I add pepper). I am glad to find here a recipe with stated quantities that I can use. These are my favourite ingredients, so I am sure it will taste great and be a complement to my dishes. Thank you

Thanks so much for sharing a good recipe to prepare a homemade honey mustard dipping sauce dressing, as I was told by my doctor to have more vegies and salads everyday, I asked if I could have them with a dressing, and he told me a big yes, and I’m glad I found your recipe and the honey and mustard dipping sauce dressing looks like is going to be a winner, my question is if I can add some yogurt to the recipe and some mayo, let’s say half and half, and if I can prepare a bigger quantity and keep it in the fridge to same some time?

    1. You could absolutely substitute yogurt, in part or in whole, and it will last the same amount of time.  Please let me know what you decide to do and how it tasted!

And what I like the most about this sauce is that it’s made from simple ingredients like honey, mustard, mayonnaise… things we always have in our fridge.

    1. When I first began making my own sauces and dressings, I was surprised at how simple and cost-effective it was. And, you’re right, it helps when everything we need is already in our kitchen!
