Lily and Sarah are at it again in this episode of Lily-Rose: Kindergarten Cook! This time, they’re making Milk and Cereal Bars, a Pampered Chef recipe.

(Published by Pampered Chef)

2¼ cups Cheerios™

2 tbsp creamy peanut butter

¼ cup honey or agave nectar

½ cup freeze-dried strawberries

½ cup yogurt chips or white chocolate morsels

Combine the cereal and strawberries in a large mixing bowl.

Microwave the nut butter and honey in a small microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for about 1 minute, or until bubbling. Pour over the cereal mixture and mix well to combine.

Use the Large Scoop to transfer the mixture into wells of the Snack Bar Maker and press down with the Mini Nylon Serving Spatula. Chill the tray in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or in the refrigerator until the bars are set.

Heat the yogurt chips in a microwave-safe bowl until they’ve melted and drizzle over the bars.

Let the bars set in the refrigerator or on the counter.

  1. This recipe looks delicious. Tell me have you tried it with choc chips rather than yogurt chips yet? I also like that it is only 110 calories per bar if I understand correctly.

Not as healthy, but it may tempt picky eaters who don’t enjoy yogurt to eat them. I am sure you can also use any cereal, as we don’t get Cheerios here but I am sure I can find a substitute or use something similar.

Thanks for posting this, I am sure to make use of this quick and easy recipe.

    1. The beauty of this kind of recipe is that you can use whatever you like or have on hand. Any kind of cereal, any kind of dried fruit and any kind of melted chips.  Please let me know what changes you decided to make and how it worked out!

  2. Thank you for your recipe. This is simple and easy to make. I just check my stuff and I have everything you described. Today is a long weekend for me. I think about doing something different. Here comes your recipe and I am going to do some Milk and Cereal Bars. I am going to give this as surprise for my wife and kids.

  3. My toddler loves these snacks. I don’t usually buy it for her, but her grandmother does. I think homemade ones should be better dont you think?

We always buy these, and has them after lunch or dinner usually with different taste. It looks simple to do. If you do have other similar recipes please share.

I will recommend it to a friend of mine who also has a toddler. Thanks for sharing. I will bookmark the page.

    1. I like homemade best because it’s nice to know exactly what’s in it.  Although there are some processed foods in here, it’s a fast and easy recipe that the kids can make and a good introduction to cooking!

      Thank you for sharing!

  4. Yum, this is such a great kid friendly recipe. Thanks for sharing a full video of the process! You have wonderful little helpers. My kids love sitting on the kitchen counter to help me bake too. They are going to love helping me make these milk and cereal bars.

Your Snack Bar Maker is such a handy little tool for this recipe too!

    1. The kids love making their own treats in the Snack Bar Maker and, yes, they are great little helpers. I hope you and your little helpers enjoy it as well!

  7. I love the look of the website. The recipe is easy to follow and laid out in simple terms. As far as the topic is concerned I would be looking for something that is healthier and has a little more nutritional value. Seems to be the niche these days. Regardless, looks great and keep up the good work. Cheers. Martin

  8. Thank you for letting us know it great to keep a kitchen date with our kids like you did on this video. it is a beautiful family making some milk and cereal bars time and it is fantastic.

The good thing about this is that I have got everything at home to prepare it like now except the flat bar maker, the mixing part is so easy and fast to make so simple i hope and pray mine comes out like yours too.

Thank you for the lovely fun video and I have copied the recipe too thank you again.
