Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp basil
  • ¼ tsp celery salt
  • 2 tbsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix together all ingredients and store in a tightly sealed container at room temperature.
  • For the salad dressing: Combine 2 tbsp mix with ¼ apple cider vinegar, ⅔ cup olive oil and 2 tbsp water. Shake or whisk to combine.
  • Hack: Use this dry Italian salad dressing mix as a dry rub for chicken or other meats!
  • Hack: Add this mix to soups or other "one pot" meals!

This is the best orange vinaigrette dressing you’ll ever eat! It takes a little longer to make than some other dressings but it’s worth the wait!

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup orange juice
  • Light syrup from one 11 oz can of mandarin oranges
  • 1 tbsp minced red onion
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Place orange juice and light syrup in a small saucepan. Boil over medium-high heat until thickened and reduced to ¼ cup., about 40 minutes. Stir frequently. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine onion, vinegar, salt, pepper and oil. Add orange syrup and mix well.
  • Store tightly covered in the refrigerator.k

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together mayonnaise and mustard. Add maple syrup. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ clove garlic, minced (½ tsp)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp ground turmeric*
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ tbsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients using an immersion or countertop blender.  Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator.
  • *Turmeric stains anything it touches so use caution!
  • Hack:  Do you know that you can freeze fresh ginger root?  Grating it in its frozen state is easier than grating it fresh and, if you choose organic ginger, you don’t have to peel it!  Simply place in a sealed freezer bag or container and pop it in the freezer.

Creamy Blue Cheese Salad Dressing

Creamy blue cheese salad dressing is my absolute favorite and this homemade version is so good and easy to make, that you’ll buy it in the store again!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tbsp milk or buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (1 tsp)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground mustard
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together blue cheese, buttermilk, sour cream, garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, mustard powder, and salt. Use an immersion blender if a smoother dressing is desired.
  • Allow to sit for 30 minutes to blend flavors. The dressing will thicken as it sits.
  • Store leftovers, tightly sealed, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Hack: Many grocery store delis cut and wrap blue cheese for the shelf. If you can’t find the size you’re looking for, ask a clerk to cut it for you.
  • Hack: Blue cheese can be frozen but it will lose some of its creaminess and flavor.
