Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken

 

1 chicken breast (8 oz)

3 slices bacon

2 tbls brown sugar

1 ½ tsp dried parsley

1 tsp paprika

¼ tsp garlic powder

⅛ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp salt

 

Preheat the oven to 375℉.

Slice chicken breast lengthwise into 3 strips.  Pat dry with a paper towel and set aside.

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, parsley, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and salt.

Roll to coat each chicken strip in brown sugar mixture.  Wrap each strip in one slice of bacon, stretching bacon to cover as much of the surface of the chicken as possible.

Place bacon in an oven safe baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar mixture.  Bake until bacon is browned and the chicken has an internal temperature of 160℉, 20-25 minutes.

Serve with honey mustard dipping sauce, if desired.

Hello there, this article seems like a recipe to make Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Chicken, I have not really heard this thing before, but it seems great, this is a great thing to try out on my own free will, but the coating chicken in a brown sugar , I am Just wondering how it would taste like, anyways I have the recipes, I am going to try it out.

    1. I agree this is an odd recipe but it was suggested by a friend so I thought I’d give it a try.  I was surprised at how delicious it was with the sweet and smokey flavor so I decided to post it.  If you’re uncertain, why don’t you try it with just one strip of chicken?  And, of course, let me know what you think!

  4. I’ll admit I was drawn in to read your article because of your title. Chicken is such a versatile item that I’m guessing, there must be hundreds of recipe’s using chicken as a base .  Chicken has a mild flavor which makes it a perfect meat to blend with other foods. The brown sugar and bacon adds a zing to the chicken. Add mashed potatoes and a vegetable and you have a wonderful meal. Certainly, no  one can say , “Oh, Chicken again?” Rather they might say, “Oh Chicken? how did you fix it this time”?  Preparing meals for a family can be a daunting task, and I found myself looking for new ideas all the time. 

    1. There was a joke we always told in my father’s house:  No one ever says “Do you want chicken?” Instead we say, “How do you want your chicken?” Haha!  This is one of my favorite chicken recipes so I hope you like it.  Please let me know.
